A Snapshot of Your Day

Controls Interns work on a variety of tasks, ranging from editing/fixing errors or adjustments on schematics to fixing/adding things in IO mapping for the T3000, T3000 graphics, hands on wiring to test new hardware, help to setup the simulator for gas turbine and steam turbine software testing. As experience grows, tasks can also further grow.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Facilitating controls development testing activities
  • Assisting in the preparation of simulators for Customer software demonstrations
  • Maintaining support systems for engineering design work

What You Bring

  • Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science or related
  • Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA and have relevant prior work experience
  • Strong background in computers or networking is a benefit (not required)
  • Interest in control systems and operations of large turbines
  • Self-starter with drive to learn and develop
  • Desire to work in an electronics lab environment

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

About the Team

This position reports to the Turbine Controls team with daily reporting to the Controls Lab supervisor. The Controls Lab supports a team of engineers that are executing new turbine installations and R&D engineers that are working to develop improvements and new designs.
