About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
Manage a team of Client Service Managers to ensure quotes and job execution are in accordance with company guidelines and customer requirements. Team supports operations and project execution in the service center. Equipment serviced includes steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, safety valves, and other related turbomachinery equipment. Customers include oil refineries, petrochemical plants, power plants, universities and hospitals. Work alongside shop supervisors, shop leadmen, repair engineers, and Service Center manager.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
- Lead and manage Service Center team to ensure quotes, job execution, and customer requirements are met.
- Oversee daily operations and contractual responsibilities, including scope, schedule, cost, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Develop and train team members, providing guidance and clear work instructions aligned with technical and factory specifications.
- Serve as primary client contact, interpreting maintenance/repair specifications, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and improve performance, implementing strategies for quality, productivity, profitability, and supporting Lean initiatives.
- Manage financial and project reporting, including accurate forecasts, job-cost tracking, and delivering progress documentation internally and externally.
What You Bring (requirements)
- High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years with rotating/reciprocating equipment repairs or manufacturing; 3+ years in team leadership and management.
- Ability to interpret shop instructions and manufacturing drawings; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
- Strong leadership, organizational, prioritization, and project management skills; positive, team-oriented attitude; dependable and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
- Teachable, humble, receptive to feedback; strong work ethic with commitment to excellence and quality standards.
- Capability in project planning; occasional overtime to support client outages; ability to work independently with limited supervision.
