We are looking for a Buying Professional in Charlotte, NC to implement commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials.
- Contribute to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance including compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems.
- Prepare and conduct negotiations to obtain the highest feasible savings.
- Generate documents and implement savings to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent.
- Execute supplier management processes like qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification.
- Ensure close cooperation with internal customers (requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.
- Provide supplier information for the project and conduct project-specific supplier evaluation (project evaluations).
- 10% domestic travel required.
- Telecommuting permitted.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain or a related field and 3 years of experience.
- Full term of experience must include: Excel and MS Office tools;
- Product and service sourcing;
- Supplier selection;
- Pricing and terms negotiation; and
- Pull drawings and process quotes.
- 10% domestic travel required.
- Telecommuting permitted.
