A Snapshot of Your Day

The Extended Reality (XR) team is seeking an XR Deployment Specialist, to manage IT deployment and configuration of XR solutions, ensuring new devices are properly integrated into the company's network infrastructure across diverse global locations. The position will focus on two primary functions: XR Device Deployment & Integration and Technical Support & Operations. The first area involves the end-to-end setup, configuration, and rollout of XR hardware and software. The second concentrates on providing expert-level troubleshooting, supporting local IT teams, and maintaining the operational health of the deployed XR device fleet. Given the focus on specialized hardware within an enterprise IT framework, the ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with XR devices (e.g., Meta Quest, HoloLens), proficiency in Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, and a strong background in enterprise networking and IT support protocols.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  •  XR Deployment and Integration
    • Execute the end-to-end deployment of XR hardware (headsets, controllers) and software at various company locations, ensuring proper initial setup.
    • Develop and execute deployment plans including timelines, staging environments, and rollback procedures
    • Configure and enroll XR devices using Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms to ensure compliance with company security policies and standards.
    • Collaborate with local IT personnel to prepare and validate network readiness, including Wi-Fi configuration, VPN access, and firewall rules for seamless XR device operation.
    • Support local IT personnel to install, test, and validate required software and applications for specific XR use cases prior to user handover.
    • Integrate XR solutions with enterprise systems such as Active Directory for user authentication and management.
    • Collaborate with developers to validate application builds and ensure production-readiness prior to launch.
  •  Technical Support and Operations
    • Act as a technical specialist to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for deployed XR devices.
    • Provide expert guidance and troubleshooting assistance to local IT teams and end-users to resolve technical challenges.
    • Monitor usage analytics, performance metrics, and tickets to proactively identify and resolve systemic issues.
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation for deployment procedures, device configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Create technical guides, quick-start materials, and on-site support resources for diverse user groups.
    • Contribute to the development of deployment standards, playbooks, and SOPs

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s of Engineering degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or technology deployment roles.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and supporting enterprise-grade XR hardware and software, including Meta Quest, HTC Vive, HoloLens, Magic Leap, or similar devices using MDM solutions.
  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • CompTIA Network+ certification.
  • Experience with IT support and operations within enterprise environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and enterprise user authentication systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Intune, Arbor XR, ManageXR, and VMware Workspace ONE.
  • Familiarity with XR hardware including Meta Quest, HoloLens, HTC Vive, and Magic Leap.
  • Experience with XR application packaging formats such as APK and MSIX.
  • Understanding of Local Area Networks (LAN), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), and Wi-Fi 6/6E technologies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and collaborative mindset.
