A Snapshot of Your Day 

As the Vice President of Siemens Energy`s Large Gas Turbines business, your typical day involves overseeing global operations, managing budget, ensuring deliveries, quality & safety, fostering stakeholder and supplier relationships, promoting innovation, and championing talent development. You will also function as a role model for health and safety, drive transformation, and maintain legal compliance. You will drive "your" business and be responsible for the product line strategy and its implementation to ensure the expected business growth and consolidated profitability. You will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of this product line within the Execution Unit Central. Furthermore, in this role you will be part of a global management team and therefore also gain insights beyond your own product line and be part of a growing function with a dynamic and inspiring work environment in a position that comes with a lot of responsibility!

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Lead the global business of Large Gas Turbines (LGT), multi-cultural organization encompassing several manufacturing locations, engineering, order management and planning as well as EHS and Quality, to ensure execution of existing orders and set up the organization for future business demands
  • Implement and maintain strategic plans for the LGT product line, identifying business needs, market potential and innovative strategies for short- and long-term success
  • Deliver financials and operational results in line with targets and have strong focus on improvement of security of supply, quality of delivery and profitability of operations
  • Ensure the execution of manufacturing and engineering activities to ensure the timely delivery of existing projects and continuous improvement towards future business demands
  • Oversee a global network of manufacturing sites fostering quality, excellence and high-level standards across locations and functions
  • Work collaboratively with other Product Lines (e.g., Large Generators, Global Customer Operations), Regional Service Units and Execution Unit Distributed
  • Lead and develop the workforce ensuring a high-performance culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement, with motivated employees and retention of key staff
  • Improve health and safety performance across the product line and function as a visible role model for health, safety, and wellbeing
  • Proactively leads our efforts to be an integrated energy technology company, promote our values and role models for our transformation journey as well as ensure that all local legal and compliance regulations are adhered to
  • Serve as the spokesperson for the Berlin H site management, act as the employer representative, and lead organizational change while fostering constructive negotiation and cooperation with the Works Council
  • Oversee EHS and site infrastructure while professionally representing the Siemens Energy Berlin H location internally and externally
What You Bring
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in an engineering / technology subject
  • Well-rounded, Senior Management with extensive working experience in the Gas Service, Rotating Equipment arena, preferably Engineering or Manufacturing
  • Superb leadership and proven team leadership qualities, rooted in our Siemens Energy values and leadership essentials
  • Inclusive, versatile, creative, lean, agile, pragmatic, and proactively getting into the details and work in a firsthand way
  • Proven experience in leading global organizations with over 1000+ employees
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Global outlook and exposure to different challenges and cultures
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including fluent German and business-level English
About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
