A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy is seeking a highly skilled and diligent I&C (Instrumentation and Control) Controls Test Engineer to join our SiETAC Assembly Center team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and validating instrumentation and control systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional teams.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and implement testing procedures to verify the functionality and performance of I&C systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing and solving to identify and resolve any issues or defects in the control systems; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all I&C systems meet industry standards and Siemens Energy quality requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of test procedures, results, and any modifications made to the systems; prepare comprehensive reports on system performance, issues, and solutions.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of I&C systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients, and find opportunities for process improvements and best practices in testing and validation.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience, – OR –
  • High school diploma with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in testing and validating I&C systems.
  • Experience with Siemens Energy I&C systems preferred.
  • Certification in control systems engineering or related fields preferred.
  • Proven experience in solving and resolving technical issues in control systems.
  • Strong understanding of instrumentation and control system principles and components.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
