 Technical Project Scheduler-Gas Turbine

 A Snapshot of your Day

The Technical Project Scheduler in Gas Services Distributed GCO (GS D GCO PM AM) organization is responsible in supporting the development and implementation phases of a project/program schedule. Candidate must have a basic understanding of the engineering product line(s) and be able to work with various internal organizations. Participate in project/program management activities (define scheduling, budget risk, change, opportunity and resource management). Participate in continuous improvement activities. Independently performs important area of standard professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting, more complex, less clearly defined issues. 

 

How you'll make an Impact

  • Develop project baseline schedules. Perform schedule updates and reviews and ensure schedules properly reflect past progress and as well as future plans. Advise project teams of potential project exposures and opportunities
  • Supporting and initiating change requests to add new scope, or to fix data that is found to be wrong
  • Performing software testing in tools as necessary for release and implementation.
  • Create the new baseline schedule for the A65 product relaunch coordinating with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality and PM
  • Provide project team with custom reports, as necessary to enhance visibility of project performance / status, which may in turn influence Project Management actions
  • Daily monitoring and maintaining of project deliverables that includes milestones, LDs and all other contractual requirements starting from the project kickoff through commercial operation
  • Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments

What you Bring

  • BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8 + years of successful experience in scheduling and planning of complex gas turbine projects supporting Project Management.
  • Order management and Bill of Material coordination experience required.
  • Manage project schedules in all phases of the project.
  • Amount of travel may be 10%.
  • Must have aero product line experience in (A35, A65) gas turbines.
  • Bi-lingual is a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Excel.
