A Snapshot of Your Day

We are a small team of People and Systems specialists responsible for ensuring Siemens Energy payroll is accurate, timely and fit-for-purpose. With a clear governance & risk management approach, we manage our vendors relationships and work closely with our HR Services team to safeguard end-to-end delivery while promoting Siemens Energy digital transformation. We are looking for a Sub-Regional Payroll Analyst for Central and Eastern Europe (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania  and Ukraine) with demonstrated knowledge of processes and related systems in order to effectively perform all responsibilities, including but not limited to, resolving issues, auditing, data governance, and improving processes. This position will be the primary contact at an operational level for our payroll vendors and internal clients. This is a remote opportunity for applicants located in Czech Republic or Poland.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Play a key role in the payroll transformation in the central and eastern European region and support the Regional payroll manager with communication with the external partners and payroll providers engaged in this transformation.

Payroll Process management

  • Verify and control payroll services and processes, aligned with legislation
  • Control payroll input to output received from an external payroll vendor
  • Verify documentation / declaration and reports required by various authorities and institutions, and ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Be responsible for and conduct regular audits on procedures and records, and identify, create and implement improvements to streamline payroll processes
  • Prepare reports and forecasts for senior management, i.e. reports on payroll issues and changes
  • Resolve issues from internal client’s inquiries and related to outsourced services, and answer employees’ questions about salaries and tax
  • Support and perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance

Other tasks

  • Manage and ensure data integrity between systems
  • Verify and supervise data and calculation correctness, analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses
  • Stay up to date on state payroll and tax laws, ensuring adherence to all compensation and tax regulations
  • Establish and maintain written documentation regarding country knowledge, payroll procedures and processes
  • Be point of contact and work closely with other departments, and external vendors
  • Be proactive with strong problem-solving capabilities and customer service orientation
  • Support less experienced colleagues, supervising their work, knowledge sharing etc

What You Bring

  • Demonstrable experience in HR and Payroll Operations, including vendor management, specifically working in central and eastern European countries would be an advantage
  • High level of affinity to and experience with Payroll solutions
  • Excellent in-depth analytical skills and thorough work style
  • International mind-set; advanced experience in a distributed team
  • Excellent knowledge of MS-Office applications, especially Excel
  • Strong team-player, happy to interact with many internal and external partners
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team, leading through building trust and empowering teams to deliver successfully
  • Team leadership experience is an advantage
  • Communicative knowledge of English and Polish is a must, other languages desirable
