A Snapshot of Your Day:

As a Steel Plate Fitter at Siemens Energy, you will engage in complex and technically demanding projects, primarily focused on the maintenance and repair of large steam and gas turbine generators. This role targets experienced professionals with a strong mechanical background who thrive in dynamic environments, as you will collaborate closely with Field Service teams to ensure high-quality service delivery. Your contributions will not only enhance operational efficiency but also uphold Siemens Energy’s commitment to safety and excellence, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and modification of large steam and gas turbine generators.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical issues on-site.
  • Collaborate with FS Shift Lead and FS Engineers to ensure compliance with quality and EHS standards.
  • Manage subcontractors for specific maintenance tasks.
  • Lead safety programs and conduct risk assessments to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Complete and submit detailed data and Quality Records to the Shift Lead.

What You Bring:
  • 10+ years of experience as a steel plate fitter, preferably with large gas turbines.
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Expertise in steel plate cutting, grinding, and repair.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, with assignments lasting 2 to 10 weeks.
  • Training in confined space and working at height safety protocols.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
