What You Can Expect

Over the course of two years, you’ll get hands-on experience, be actively integrated into the day-to-day activities of your teams and gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy. You'll rapidly build in-depth knowledge, discover solutions, and experience our business first-hand.

From day one, you will work on meaningful projects with three individually designed assignments, including one eight-month international assignment.

You will be paired with a dedicated mentor who guides you through immersive experiences, allowing you to shadow various roles and positions. This support system is designed to empower you to achieve your unique career goals while fostering substantial connections with peers and influential business leaders. Additionally, you'll gain access to a wealth of resources geared towards cultivating your professional growth.

You will collaborate closely with experienced professionals on the commissioning, testing, and optimization of HVDC installations, aiming to ensure reliability, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. The goal is to develop your expertise, preparing you to contribute significantly to the success of our global energy projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As part of our Graduate Program, you are on the Siemens Energy team. You’ll share our purpose in energizing society by supporting customers with transitioning to a more sustainable world and will work on real global issues, creating solutions that directly make an impact.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of HVDC commissioning activities.
  • Participate in the testing and calibration of HVDC equipment and support the analysis of system performance and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Control & Protection engineering, project management, and field service teams, to facilitate successful commissioning processes.
  • Learn and adhere to industry standards, safety protocols, and company procedures related to HVDC systems.
  • Engage in continuous learning about HVDC technology, commissioning procedures, and best practices through on-the-job training and formal educational opportunities.
What You Bring
  • Capability in positive conflict management, effective decision-making, strong result orientation, intrinsic motivation, and strong communication
  • Significant practical work experience of up to 36 months including knowledge from internships, working student activities or employment
  • A master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a similar field
  • Minimum of 3 months of international experience gained through studying or working
  • Excellent English skills to work in a multi-cultural environment, flexibility and mobility during the program, German skills are a plus
  • Willingness for worldwide business trips and long-term assignments on construction sites in Germany and abroad as well as optional assignments on offshore platforms
