As a Senior Mechanical Invent Engineer at Siemens Gamesa Wind Power in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India, your day will be an exhilarating mix of composing, collaborating, and improving mechanical systems. You will start your day by engaging with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless integration of builds. Your emphasis will be on inventing and developing world-class mechanical components that meet rigorous performance and reliability standards. You will also mentor junior engineers, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the development and building of complex mechanical systems from concept through to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as electrical, software, and quality assurance, to ensure coordinated system compositions.
- Conduct development reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Apply FEA and CFD tools to validate the integrity and performance of the design under various operating conditions.
- Prepare and present development documentation, including specifications, test plans, and reports, to collaborators and management.
- Drive root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives for design-related issues in prototype and production phases.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical development, including experience with product development life cycles.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent) and strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with FEA and CFD analysis tools to refine compositions.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry, such as aerospace, automotive, or medical devices (preferred).
- Knowledge of composing for manufacturability (CFM) and developing for assembly (DFA) principles (preferred).
- Familiarity with ISO and ASME standards related to mechanical development (preferred).
