A Snapshot of Your Day
You start your day reviewing an early prototype coming out of our new HR AI team. You pair with one of our engineers on how to better ground an assistant in our HR knowledge, iterate on a prompt, inspect failure cases together, and sharpen the evaluation set.
Mid-morning you are in a working session with HR stakeholders. You translate a real business pain point into a concrete AI solution concept with a realistic build plan, clear data requirements, and a path to production. You listen, challenge assumptions, and leave the room with a decision.
In the afternoon you switch hats: a mentoring conversation with a team member in India, a technical design review on retrieval and agent orchestration, a quick alignment with Cyber Security and Data Privacy on guardrails for an upcoming pilot. You close the day by sketching the next quarter of our HR AI roadmap together with the international HR AI leadership, balancing quick wins, foundational building blocks, and a few bolder bets.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Shape and deliver the flagship AI solutions for HR: from employee-facing assistants and talent acquisition copilots, to knowledge agents for HR Services and decision support for Workforce Analytics.
• Set the technical bar: own the end-to-end lifecycle of our AI solutions, from problem framing and data, through model selection, evaluation, deployment, observability and continuous improvement.
• Grow the HR AI capability in India: as the senior expert on the ground, you help attract, onboard and develop the right talent in India, coach engineers on their craft, and shape a strong engineering culture together with the international HR AI leadership.
• Make HR AI-ready: partner with HR colleagues to demystify what AI can (and cannot) do, co-create with them instead of delivering to them, and embed AI fluency into how HR works day to day.
• Champion Responsible AI: embed fairness, transparency, data protection and human oversight into every solution, and work closely with Cyber Security, Data Privacy, Works Council and Legal so that every pilot is safe and trustworthy by design.
• Contribute to the HR AI roadmap: sequence quick wins, foundational platforms and strategic bets that reimagine major HR processes, and bring HR’s perspective into the broader Siemens Energy AI community.
What You Bring
We are looking for a senior AI and Generative AI expert who is at the top of their craft and genuinely loves it. Someone who has led technical work before, who has helped grow engineers into strong ones, and who moves fluidly between a hands-on prototype and a conversation with senior HR stakeholders.
Must-haves
• Deep, hands-on AI and GenAI expertise: a proven track record of shipping production-grade AI solutions, with strong command of LLMs, RAG, agentic patterns, evaluation, and modern Generative AI frameworks (for example LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, AG2 / AutoGen, Semantic Kernel or the Microsoft Agent Framework, Pydantic AI, and the Model Context Protocol).
• Solid engineering foundations: Python first-class, familiarity with at least one major cloud AI platform (Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex), comfortable with APIs, CI/CD, containers and the basics of MLOps and LLMOps.
• Leadership with substance: demonstrable experience leading technical projects or teams, setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and being accountable for delivery. You do not need to be a line manager, but you enjoy helping a team become greater than the sum of its parts.
• Stakeholder fluency: ability to navigate a complex corporate environment and influence at senior levels, translating fluently between business and engineering.
• Product mindset: focused on user value over shiny tech, ruthless about prioritization, comfortable with ambiguity, and biased towards shipping.
• Responsible AI instincts: you think about bias, privacy, safety and explainability as a natural part of how you design and build, not as an afterthought.
Nice-to-haves
• Prior experience delivering AI solutions in HR, People Analytics, or other enterprise functions such as Finance, Legal or Procurement.
• Familiarity with the HR platform landscape (for example Workday, SuccessFactors, ServiceNow HRSD) and common integration patterns.
• Experience building teams or communities of practice, in India or across globally distributed organizations.
• Familiarity with regulated, data-sensitive environments and works-council settings.

Our People System & Services function is on a journey to make HR truly AI-ready and to reimagine how core HR processes and services work for our colleagues around the world. You will join a newly forming, international HR AI team with a clear mandate from HR leadership, a real budget, and full line of sight to the processes and services where AI can genuinely change the employee experience.
Within this international setup, you take on the leadership role in India: building up the local team with the right experts, growing the capabilities HR needs for its AI journey, and making sure our India hub becomes a powerful part of the global HR AI community. The team works closely with HR functional leaders, IT, Cyber Security, Data Privacy and our global AI community. The environment is collaborative, curious and pragmatic.
