A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic team in Athens as a Sales Manager and take the lead in driving sales, proposals, and project execution for our Steam Turbines and Generators Services business. You’ll work closely with engineering, factory, and field service teams to deliver tailored solutions and high-impact proposals for our customers. Every day, you’ll identify new business opportunities, manage customer requirements, and ensure projects run smoothly from the first quote to final acceptance. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Oversees the entire proposal process, including developing and editing responses, managing high-level proposals, and coordinating with engineering, factory, and field service teams to resolve technical and scope changes.
- Handles customer complaints, manages post-sale servicing to ensure satisfaction and repeat business, and provides urgent support for shutdowns and spare parts enquiries.
- Identifies strategic business opportunities, assists sales teams with chargeable orders and spares lists, and updates CRM systems (Salesforce) with dashboards and reports.
- Manages projects through the full life cycle, including planning, milestone tracking, risk assessment, lessons learned, and ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy processes and safety standards.
- Maintains technical knowledge of Siemens Energy products, ensures integration of all subsystems, manages customer requirements, and takes full responsibility for financial results, cost control, and reporting.
- Works closely with finance, supply chain, and project execution teams, performs contract analysis, and ensures adherence to organisational safety, security, and compliance procedures.
What You Bring
- Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, with at least 5 years’ experience in cross-organisational projects and project execution.
- Strong understanding of turbomachinery packages, driven units, and associated equipment, plus detailed knowledge of industrial and power generation markets.
- Commercial awareness, problem-solving ability, creative thinking, and focus on quality and efficiency.
- Excellent English (written and verbal) at negotiation level, presentation skills, and ability to engage with multiple levels of customers and teams.
- Organised, methodical, culturally aware, self-supporting, quick learner, and willing to travel for regular on-site customer visits.
