Sales Support Trainee at Siemens Energy

We are looking for an intern (m/f) in the field of Sales Distributed and project management for our Western and Central Africa Hub team in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He/she shall support our business activities Western & Central Africa (French speaking countries), including:

• Co-ordinate with Client facing team, commercial team, technical team (where necessary), suppliers, customer, and Product Competence Centre (PCC) to prepare and submit formal quotations for spare parts and other service projects work,
• Preparation of maintenance activities and support of those activities during execution,
• Follow-up on findings during outages and create an action tracker,
• Assistance with our technical and commercial offers related to modifications and upgrades,
• Co-ordination with field service department, order management department to align parts delivery with manpower availability,
• Achievement of order planned vs. actual dates and costs and other quality targets,
• Any other technical, marketing or financial task to support the Gas Service – Sales Distributed Team.

How You’ll Make an Impact  

• As intern, you will contribute to the success of our Gas Service – Sales Distributed Team, working alongside team members based in Ivory Coast, as well as other African or European countries.
• Your tasks will include supporting the client Manager, Project Manager and Sales Support, on aftermarket solutions and day to day business. Providing competition intelligence on some products, supporting communication efforts, etc.
• You will work with sales professionals, project managers and sales support during their day-to-day activities and contribute significantly to company goals and deliverables.

What You Bring 

• Minimum Bachelor University Degree or master’s in engineering, management, science, or related fields
• Knowledge of Rotating Equipment (Turbines, Compressors) will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Sales in Oil & Gas Industry.
• Able to Interact with various internal (Siemens Energy) and external (Customers and Partners) persons of a diversified cultural mix.
• Effectively deliver results as an individual, independent contributor
• Think outside the box and then quantitatively
• Excellent mastery of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Basic knowledge of power plants working principles
• Fluent in English and French

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
