A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Regulatory specialist will carry out activities related to trade compliance and risk, such as analysis or modifications in the customs / foreign trade legislation, submission of foreign trade forms, permits, elaboration of written motions to the Authority, perform a monthly preventive audit of the import/export transactions and perform a monthly audit and control of the recordkeeping.
In addition, will be carrying out activities related to reporting and monitoring; to generate and maintain up to date reports/dashboards in PowerBI. As well as handle, coordinate and maintain all customs IT Tools and apps.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Submission online and in person of different procedures/request of authorizations/written motions/etc. related to customs and foreign trade.
- Cross collaboration with other Customs employees to actively seeking for digitalization & automation of processes.
- Analysis and proper communication of relevant modifications in the Customs Legislation
- Control and follow up of the responsibilities of the customs department.
- Verification of the accurate integration of foreign trade files (recordkeeping)
- Assistance modification Import Export Work Instructions and other internal documents related to customs and foreign trade processes. Update and creation of Power BI dashboards
What You Bring
- Professional experience: 4 to 6 years.
- Bachelor's degree: International Trade, Commerce, Law, and Economy / Experienced candidates in IT with experience in foreign trade & Customs are welcomed too.
- Experience in customs legislation (LA, RLA, RGCE, Rules of the Ministry of Economics, etc.).
- Active participation when external foreign trade audits in which it is required to provide reports, information, etc.
- Detection and implementation of foreign trade & customs processes as well as keep updated internal documents.
- Definition, adaptation and improvement of IT Customs processes.
- Knowledge and Constant use of Alteryx, Access, Mendix, SAP.
- Constant search of improvement or development of new automations for the customs processes.
- Established ability to focus on project work and efficiently bring projects to completion.
- English at a professional working level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work with supervision and follow instructions.
