A Snapshot of Your Day 

As a Protection and Control Engineer for Protection Systems in HV Projects at Grid Automation Technology, you are responsible for the configuration, test and commissioning of Protection Systems for High Voltage Substations. You will work closely with the project management and other domain experts within your team.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Configuration, Test and Commissioning of protection devices for HV Substation projects
• Creation of project specific technical documents, test-protocols, manuals, etc.
• Performing of Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests
• Administration and coordination of signal lists
• Conduct customer training

What You Bring

• Completed university degree in electrical engineering, automation or comparable education
• 7-10 years of professional experience with protection systems
• 5 or more years of experience in protection devices from vendors like SIEMENS (SIPROTEC), Hitachi Energy, SEL, GE for HV substations
• 5 or more years of experience in configuration tools for protection devices
• Knowledge within different protection philosophies and protection test equipment
• Willing and able to travel, as needed, domestically and occasionally internationally
• Must be fluent in Portuguese and English languages
