Über die Aufgabe
A Snapshot of Your Day
Lead end-to-end delivery of TI EAD projects in electrification, automation and digitalization, including electrical substations, grid/interface works, primary and secondary systems, protection and control, SCADA/automation, digital systems and related civil/electrical interfaces. The Project Manager owns project execution across scope, time, cost, quality, EHS, risks, stakeholders, commissioning and handover, in alignment with contract requirements, Siemens Energy standards and applicable regulations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead full lifecycle project delivery from contract handover through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover and final acceptance.
- Ensure alignment with contract scope, technical specifications, customer expectations and Siemens Energy execution requirements. Own time, cost, scope, quality, EHS and customer satisfaction targets.
- Develop or coordinate integrated schedules, monitor milestones, critical path, float consumption and interfaces, and initiate recovery actions when deviations occur.
- Define clear rules for measuring project progress, verify the actual work completed, monitor schedule and cost performance, and take corrective actions when delays or cost deviations appear.
- Manage the project budget baseline together with the Commercial Project Manager. Monitor actual costs, forecast to completion, cash-flow, margin development, cost deviations and financial risks.
- Manage contractual requirements, variations, change orders, delay events and claims. Ensure proper documentation, impact assessment, substantiation and timely escalation of contractual risks.
- Coordinate procurement for long-lead equipment and subcontracted works such as transformers, MV/HV switchgear, protection and control systems, automation panels, SCADA/digital systems, cables, auxiliary systems and other TI EAD scope elements.
- Coordinate construction through Site Managers, discipline leads and contractors. Validate physical progress, site readiness, productivity, safety performance and milestone completion.
- Establish and maintain the risk and opportunity register, perform qualitative and where required quantitative assessments, define mitigation actions and track opportunities for cost, schedule and technical optimization.
- Act as main interface between customer, internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors and consultants. Manage multidisciplinary interfaces across civil, electrical, protection, control, automation, digitalization, grid and commissioning scopes.
- Ensure implementation of project quality plans, inspection and test plans, QA/QC processes, non-conformance management, corrective actions and technical documentation control.
- Coordinate FAT, SAT, functional testing, protection/control testing, SCADA and automation integration, energization readiness, commissioning records, as-built documentation, O&M manuals, client training, punch-list closure and final acceptance.
- Prepare structured weekly/monthly project reports covering schedule, cost, progress, risks, claims, open points, key decisions and escalations. Lead project review meetings and support steering committees where applicable.
- Support Sales and Tendering with lessons learned, execution strategy, risk assessment, schedule inputs, cost assumptions, subcontracting strategy and clarification support for future opportunities.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to standardization of execution methodology, planning accuracy, cost control, risk management, documentation and handover practices across TI EAD projects.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical, power, automation, energy systems, civil or industrial engineering, or a comparable technical field. IPMA, PMI/PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent are considered an advantage.
- Proven background in electrical field–civil interfaces, project engineering, contract management, subcontractor coordination, site execution and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of customer, supplier and subcontracting contracts essential for project execution.
- Proficiency in integrated schedules, critical path analysis, progress control and recovery planning.
- Understanding of EPC delivery in Transmission & Distribution, substations and industrial electrification projects.
- Familiarity with primary/secondary systems, MV/HV equipment, protection, control, SCADA and automation
- Experience managing long‑lead equipment procurement and subcontracted works.
- Knowledge of construction, commissioning, energization and handover methodologies.
- Understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, risk management, QA/QC processes, non‑conformance handling, FAT/SAT documentation and as‑built/handover requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to work abroad on construction sites
- Proficient English; knowledge of German (or any other language) is an asset.
