A Snapshot of Your Day

The Project Manager will be an integral part of the Order Execution Team within the Grid Technologies  – Order Execution UK and Ireland Team. This role will focus on the successful delivery of all product lines including Surge Arrester, Transformer, AIS, GIS in the region.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Project Delivery: Ensure the timely, high-quality, and budget-compliant delivery of a variety of transmission products while maximizing company revenue and profit margins.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse, global team across multiple business units and factories to facilitate smooth and timely project execution.
  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee local subcontractors and international factories from order placement through delivery and handover, ensuring compliance with client schedules, quality standards, and Siemens Energy EHS regulations.
  • Technical Support: Provide essential technical information for factory and product assessments and certifications required by customers.
  • Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the finance and commercial teams to ensure accurate reporting of financial and commercial metrics, including revenue invoices and cash flow management.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships to achieve long-term retention, satisfaction, and growth opportunities.
  • Scope Management: Take handover from the bid management team and identify any potential risks while understanding the contract each time a handover occurs. Address customer requirements that extend beyond the agreed project scope to maximize business benefits and effectively manage variation orders to ensure alignment with project objectives and customer expectations.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Proactively identify and report potential opportunities, variations, and risks to the business.
  • Logistics Management: Plan and manage logistics, customs clearance, and compliance with Ireland’s transport regulations to ensure timely order delivery.
  • Documentation Control: Ensure that all project documentation is centralized, controlled, and compliant with established business processes.
  • Quality Management: Maintain quality management processes to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Leverage automation to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and support team members in maintaining compliance with business processes. Propose improvements as needed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and factory teams to ensure seamless operations and timely project delivery.

What You Bring

  • A flexible mindset to manage a variety of products with diverse complexities.
  • Formal qualifications in Electrical Engineering; a degree is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Transmission & Distribution standards and technologies is desirable.
  • Awareness of commercial and contractual issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management with a strong emphasis on risk management and effective communication, along with a proven track record of collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on a global scale.
  • Familiarity with UK & I Regulations, current health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • This role includes an element of travel and site visits to meet customers.
