A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Project Implementation Engineer, you will take responsibility for a delegated element of a larger project, ensuring that contractual, technical, commercial, and quality commitments are met from start to completion. Your day involves coordinating internal teams and subcontractors, monitoring progress, managing documentation, and supporting outage and service execution activities so that senior project managers can focus on broader project delivery.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Monitor delegated project scope to ensure time, cost, quality, risk, and resource targets are met, while tracking progress across all functions and initiating corrective actions when plans deviate.
  • Manage commercial elements of assigned work packages, including estimates‑to‑complete, financial reporting, and protection of the company’s commercial interests.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure all technical, commercial, and work scope requirements are fulfilled.
  • Prepare and maintain outage execution plans and documentation packs for both manufacturing and field operations.
  • Procure materials, tooling, and services, managing purchase orders from creation through to closure.
  • Support field service execution by coordinating manpower, tooling, and materials through internal systems.
  • Maintain project management systems such as WBS structures, planned costs, revenue tracking, and contract documentation, while preparing quality and EHS documents including ITPs, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
  • Identify risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle, contribute to mitigation planning, participate in internal and external project reviews, communicate issues clearly to stakeholders, and build strong customer relationships.

What You Bring

  • Minimum ONC/HNC/HND with an engineering or commercial background, with project‑management qualifications considered an advantage.
  • Experience in an engineering services environment, covering areas such as commercial work, procurement, site activities, or commissioning.
  • Understanding of the power‑generation sector or large rotating equipment, with familiarity in relevant technologies and markets.
  • Proven project‑management capability within hardware supply or service‑contract settings, including effective subcontractor coordination.
  • Strong motivation for project execution and service delivery, supporting full lifecycle activities across technical projects.
  • High attention to detail, applying a structured and methodical approach to documentation and task management.
  • Proficiency with office and project‑related digital tools, including ERP systems, planning software, and documentation platforms.
  • Clear and organised communication skills, with the ability to prepare structured project packs, reports, and technical documentation, supported by excellent English proficiency
