A Snapshot of Your Day

This role is a replacement to ensure business continuity for project management within the SE GS PRM HL HCS (Hardware, Cost & Service) organization. The position is critical for driving technology-focused cost-reduction initiatives for the HL-class gas turbine product line, aligning with strategic objectives to optimize product cost and serviceability through technical innovation. To achieve these cost-out goals, this role focuses on three core areas: comprehensive project management leveraging digital tools, rigorous data-driven financial analysis, and deep collaboration with technical stakeholders. This structure ensures a holistic approach, from identifying cost-saving opportunities in technical specifications and manufacturing processes to implementing and tracking their financial impact using advanced systems. Given the focus on managing complex cost-out projects in a highly technical environment, the ideal candidate will possess extensive project management experience with a strong emphasis on technology, data analytics, and budgeting within an engineering context. A subject matter expert with a proven ability to manage large, technically complex projects within a functional team setup across engineering and manufacturing teams is required.

How You’ll Make an Impact

60% Cost-Out Project Management

  • Plan, execute, and manage the full lifecycle of cost-reduction projects for the gas turbine hardware, utilizing digital project management tools.
  • Leverage data analytics and technical product knowledge to identify cost-reduction opportunities in technology, design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, define technical scope, and establish key milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving technical and logistical obstacles to ensure projects are setup to be completed on time and within budget.

25% Stakeholder & Supplier Management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, and manufacturing, to identify and implement technology-driven cost-saving opportunities.
  • Engage with suppliers to negotiate costs and explore innovative technologies and materials for the supply chain.
  • Act as the central point of contact for cost-out projects, facilitating communication and ensuring technical alignment across all involved parties.

15% Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and financial performance against cost-out targets.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports on project cost, timing, and savings to management and key technical stakeholders.
