A Snapshot of your day
By collaborating with local site project managers to establish a consistent project controls setup that aligns with industry the best practices across various projects. You will engage with the Commercial Project Management team to identify potential project impacts and implement effective solutions, while also focusing on driving improvements in project controls processes and tools. This hands-on role demands the ability to lead multiple deliverables under pressure, ensuring excellence in project execution and delivery.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage the overall project schedule, focusing on critical path scheduling to ensure timely project delivery.
- Measure and report progress using earned value concepts and S-Curves for effective performance tracking.
- Oversee resource management to optimize project efficiency and allocation.
- Assist in identifying and managing project risks and opportunities to enhance project outcomes.
- Implement change management concepts, including the documentation of delay claims.
- Support internal and external project reviews, fulfilling various reporting requirements.
- Provide coaching and mentoring project teams on project controls concepts to foster skill development.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; an MBA is advantageous, with over 10 years of relevant experience in large global oil and gas projects and collaboration with EPCs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project controls concepts, practices, and procedures, including Earned Value Management techniques.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Projects for developing, maintaining, and updating detailed schedules, along with strong ERP experience (e.g., SAP).
- High proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting, coupled with strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead effectively under pressure and work successfully in a team environment.
- IPMA/PMP certification preferred, with prior project management experience required.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
