A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

Siemens Energy's blades and vanes casting operation in Gibsonton, Florida is looking forward to adding the passionate Ceramic Product Engineer to the team! You will join a team of experts and skilled workers with an opportunity to learn and meet ongoing growth targets. You will work in collaboration with the design team during and after product development and will have the opportunity to lead core development projects!

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Collaborate with Siemens Energy design colleagues during and after product development, participating in design reviews and quoting.
  • Define process-relevant core geometry in coordination with engineering and internal teams to support new component development.
  • Plan material and equipment needs while leading core development projects to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Work with internal and external customer representatives to develop new products and meet program requirements.
  • Review customer specifications and blueprints to determine necessary procedures, testing, and routing sequences.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvements, recommend tooling enhancements, and coordinate reworks with validation of results.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or another related field
  • 3+ more years of experience in investment casting supply chain (core or casting preferred). Those with more years of experience may be considered for a higher level.
  • Aerospace casting experience preferred.
  • Six Sigma training preferred (Green or Black Belt).
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
  • This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
