A Snapshot of Your Day
Join us as a Plant Manager in a combined cycle power plant, where you will lead the charge in achieving high-reliability electricity generation while upholding the highest standards in safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance. Imagine blending your team leadership skills, technical expertise, and planning abilities to drive efficient operations. You will engage in effective communication with all stakeholders, ensuring that every aspect of the plant runs smoothly and safely. Your role is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement, making a real impact on our operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will oversee the care, custody, and control of a combined cycle power plant featuring 2 1X1 blocks of V84.3A(2) combustion turbines, HE steam turbines, and hydrogen-cooled generators.
  • Direct the safe, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability.
  • Lead a dedicated team of site personnel, prioritizing safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to allocate resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Foster a strong safety culture that maximizes employee engagement and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs to enhance equipment longevity and minimize forced outages.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, meeting all OSHA and permit requirements.
  • Maintain adherence to NERC standards and ensure all plant activities follow approved procedures and best practices.
  • Manage staffing, training, and development to build a qualified team that meets Siemens Energy and facility Owner expectations.
  • Develop and monitor the annual O&M plant budget, approving expenditures and addressing client budget inquiries.
  • Identify and implement plant improvement projects that align with the facility Owner’s goals, ensuring effective management of change processes.
  • Establish and uphold housekeeping standards throughout the plant.

What You Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience, with 7-10 years of operational management experience in a power plant environment.
  • Your excellent written and verbal communication skills make you an active listener and effective leader.
  • You demonstrate accountability for business successes and challenges, making tough decisions while being results-driven.
  • Proven ability to influence and maintain positive working relationships is essential.
  • You are knowledgeable about and promote the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance.
