● As a PPM you will be responsible to integrate Procurement in the project management process and project teams from the ‘bid’ phase through to execution.
● This individual will organize, control and monitor all Procurement activities within the projects and introduce Procurement strategies targeting maximum contribution to the operating result.
● This position will work with our New Unit Package team to support them through the lifecycle.
● Key areas of importance and focus will be cost competitiveness, quality of bid information, development of responsiveness targets and improvements in accordance with the agreed customer requirements using standard tools and methods.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Engage early in the sales phase to analyze operations planning and ensure Procurement involvement in new projects.
- Participate in project meetings as a core team member to share insights on supply markets, preferred suppliers, and innovations for optimized supplier selection.
- Serve as the key interface for Operational and Strategic Procurement, ensuring alignment on procurement plans, target costing, and project requirements.
- Analyze supply scope, contractual obligations, and customer needs to inform procurement strategies.
- Identify and manage procurement risks, opportunities, and market forces throughout the project lifecycle to mitigate potential damage.
- Support bid preparation with accurate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) data and ensure contracts address procurement risks and obligations to minimize exposure.
What You Bring
● 5 to 8 years relevant work experience in Project Management & Procurement
● Demonstrated results in achieving increasing value and significant savings for stakeholder & Customers
● Self-motivation with a mind-set of challenging the existing status quo while exhibiting the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders
● Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to influence and constructively challenge cross-functional project teams and business partners to achieve project goals
● Strong skill set in gaining marketplace intelligence and communicating the commercial impact of such information back to internal decision makers for timely resolution.
● Strong presentation, leadership and project management skills
● Experience analysing proposals/bid packages and conducting supplier analysis
