A Snapshot of Your Day

Assist mechanics and electricians with maintenance tasks to include machine maintenance and moves.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Operate and perform minor maintenance and preventive maintenance in waste management and processing equipment. Duties include the coolant procurement, stocking, dispensing, and recycle, drum disposal, liquid waste treatment, waste sampling and identification
  • Coordinate group functions and instruct as assigned. Keep work areas clean and orderly. Must be aware of and implement safety rules in the performance of job duties as well as, the area in which the duties are being performed.
  • Responsible for tool operations necessary to receive, store, identify and issue material, tools, jigs and fixtures by name, part and/or drawing number. Deliver same to machines or machining centers by use of fork truck, carts, or hand truck within and between buildings. Responsible for the proper loading and securing of loads for safe transportation of jigs, fixtures, tools, etc. Visually check against blue prints, when necessary, to ensure correct identity and condition of piece. Designate, allocate and place in proper storage location, as well as maintaining files and records of material whereabouts.
  • Operate any crane or act as crane hooker to lift, move, transport, and position material and equipment (rough and finished) as directed by others. Position work for machine tool operator. Operate truck/van, forklift and other equipment necessary for the proper movement of material. Must be properly trained to operate equipment, such as, but not limited to, sap sucker and pump truck.
  • Follow proper procedures and maintain records as required by law or plant operation. Maintain all yards and bulk chip hoppers including metal chips, castings, grinding, swarf, refuse and etc. Collect and deliver coolant to and from machinery and waste management center, as well as materials from satellite locations throughout facility. Must be able to conduct trailer operation both inside and outside the plant. Do other tasks as assigned.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly. Must be aware of and implement safety rules in the performance of job duties as well as, the area in which the duties are being performed.

What You Bring

  • Must be properly trained to operate equipment, such as, but not limited to, sap sucker and pump truck.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Industrial mechanic skills preferred
