A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking an analytical Operational Innovation Project Manager. This position reports to the Head of Operational Innovation & Effectiveness and works closely with cluster and factory operations leaders, Maintenance/Mechanical Engineering, EHS, Quality, IT/OT, and Finance to turn operational ideas into scalable, value‑creating solutions across the business.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of cross‑functional innovation projects from concept through pilot and scale‑readiness, bringing clarity, structure, and discipline to how ideas move from intake to execution. A typical day involves aligning priorities with site leaders, building scale‑readiness plans (timelines, investment, value tracking, and risk mitigation), removing delivery blockers, and ensuring pilots are set up for replication, not one‑off success. You’ll also build local innovation champions in the factories, support change management and adoption, and make progress visible through clear dashboards, reviews, and reporting tied to Transformers (Tr)/Grid Technologies (GT) OKRs (Objectives and Key Results). The impact is tangible: faster time‑to‑scale, measurable operational value, and innovation embedded into daily operations rather than treated as a side initiative.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Leading complex, cross‑functional innovation projects from concept through ideation and scale‑readiness for global rollout
  • Managing the innovation project pipeline and active portfolio, ensuring clear priorities, transparency, and disciplined execution from intake to delivery
  • Developing scale‑readiness plans including timelines, investment needs, engagement strategies, value tracking, and risk mitigation
  • Embedding continuous improvement by driving lessons learned, feedback loops, and proactive risk management across projects and stakeholders
  • Building innovation capability by developing local innovation champions, partnering with TR functions, and supporting change management for adoption
  • Strengthening enterprise innovation impact by contributing to TR transformation communities and co‑facilitating program events, reviews, and dashboards

What You Bring

  • Degree in Engineering, process engineering, innovation management, data science, business or equivalent. Masters is a plus
  • 7 or more years of experience in operations/industrial engineering/continuous improvement or project management. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Proven project and portfolio leadership with demonstrated success in innovation management, risk mitigation, budget ownership, and delivering measurable business benefits.
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership and influence, enabling alignment across Operations, Engineering, IT/OT, EHS, Quality, and Supply Chain stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical capability, including benefits modeling, data integrity management, and comfort working across OT/IT interfaces to support decision‑making.
  • Program discipline and change enablement expertise, with a track record of creating templates, standard work, repeatable processes, training, and effective communications.
  • Preferred experience with innovation platforms (e.g., crowdsourcing tools), innovation sprint methodologies, EHS/Quality systems (including standard work/3i), and exposure to transformers or heavy manufacturing.

Travel, as needed (up to ~10%).
