A Snapshot of Your Day

As an operational buyer in a product manufacturing environment, typically starts the day by reviewing inventory levels and production schedules to identify potential issues and shortages. They coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and collaborate with various departments to streamline operations related to the supply chain. Throughout the day, they analyze data to forecast demand, manage inventory, and optimize supply chain performance.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Perform required functions daily to ensure on time delivery of material required for production line and work to collaborate with cross-functional teams locally to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Work within Material Planning group to resolve issues, update material schedules and ensure supporting MRP systems reflect forecast and demand for products.
  • Analyze, maintain, and update MRP data for new and changed materials.
  • Delivers briefs, updates, and reports as required as well as develop creative and innovative material processes.
  • Resolve complex delivery, quality, and other related problems with purchases and invoices.
  • Work in conjunction with strategic procurement, supplier quality, and logistics for improving total cost of ownership of products/services.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, business administration or related field. Candidates with High school diplomas will also be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering to order ETO manufacturing environment or in a related field. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • SAP Experience working with Material and Warehouse Modules and Transactions.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and materials and management, warehouse movements and strong technical knowledge of operational buying principles.
  • Analytical, and strong problem-solving abilities with experience in the Energy Product Industry, Voltage Regulator Product Knowledge a plus.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
