A Snapshot of Your Day

The Non-Conformance Management Lead ensures accurate, timely, and compliant reporting of Nonconformance Costs (NCC) for Siemens Energy Gas Services North America. This role is central to financial transparency, quality governance, and risk reduction by maintaining disciplined cost recording, validating data with stakeholders, and delivering recurring management insights. The NCC specialist forms the financial backbone of the NC → RCA → CAPA process chain by ensuring that all quality incidents are costed, categorized, reported, and communicated correctly.

How You’ll Make an Impact

This role represents the guardian of cost transparency in the quality chain. Your work ensures Siemens Energy sees the true financial impact of failures and can prioritize improvements that reduce recurring issues, protect margins, and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure all nonconformance cost events (NCCs) are accurately recorded, categorized, and assigned to the correct business type, project, responsible organization, and cost type.
  • Validate required data elements including reporting org, responsible org, cause area, supplier information, product line, frame, PO, and measure IDs.
  • Maintain compliance with global NCC requirements outlined in the Project Excellence Guide and NCC Procedure 001030.
  • Track and report Gross and Net NCCs, including claims, recoveries, insurance, and scrap proceeds.
  • Ensure monthly NCC reporting deadlines are met according to the reporting calendar.
  • Support financial transparency through reconciliation of cost changes, recoveries, provisions, and risk contingency usage.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with regional finance, project management, engineering, service, and supplier quality teams to resolve missing data and reach agreement on responsibility assignments.
  • Communicate cost ownership and coordinate alignment when cost responsibility is disputed; support escalation as needed.
  • Liaise with supplier quality on supplier-caused NCCs, ensuring factual classification and supporting documentation.

Data Quality & Governance

  • Perform monthly data quality checks and assist with system uploads or corrections as required.
  • Maintain clear documentation to ensure audit readiness (supporting evidence, cost changes, RC usage, provisions, claims, BPC classification).
  • Support improvements to NCC tracking processes and tool usage across the region.

Reporting & Insights

  • Provide reporting packages, dashboards, and NCC trend insights to management.
  • Highlight high‑risk or recurring NCC themes and coordinate with QIS/CAPA stakeholders when thresholds require RCA or systemic analysis.

What You Bring

Required

  • Experience in quality, finance, project controls, manufacturing, service, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of nonconformance processes, project/business cost flows, and quality cost management.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to quickly interpret financial and operational data.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating across multiple functions and resolving ownership discussions.
  • Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines and manage multiple open cost items simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and data accuracy mindset.
  • Ability to influence without authority in cross‑functional environments.
  • Structured, consistent decision tracking and documentation.
  • Clear communicator able to summarize cost impact and ownership logic.
  • Commitment to transparency, quality culture, and continuous improvement.
  • Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
