Über die Aufgabe
A Snapshot of Your Day
This role is for a system design engineer for industrial gas turbine engines and related products. You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and testing of gas turbine engine components for new products or improving existing products. Collaborating with different engineering subject areas and non-engineering business groups, suppliers, and customers is key to excelling in this role!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Handle technical aspects of mechanical design and analysis for gas turbine systems and components.
- Brings forward innovative engineering design solutions to customer issues on new and fielded products.
- Supports manufacturing, assembly, and testing of gas turbine components and systems.
- Facilitates partnership between many subject areas including engineering support organizations, test, purchasing, suppliers, customers. etc.
- Communicates technical and business results via reports and presentations.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, engineering technology or related
- A minimum of one engineering internship with mechanical design experience in gas turbines or similar high-tech industry, preferably with a gas turbine OEM or gas turbine packager within the 3 to 10 MW power range.
- Training/experience with component stress and dynamics analysis (ANSYS software series preferred).
- Experience with CAD packages (Unigraphics/NX or equivalent).
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
