A Snapshot of Your Day

Ready to engineer at the speed of innovation?

As a Rotor Mechanical Integrity Engineer, you’ll dive into the heart of gas turbine design using everything from quick-hit, low-fi solutions to full-on 3D FEM and advanced fracture mechanics to crack complex challenges. No two days are the same: one day you’re conceiving bold new designs, the next you’re validating them in real-world testing.

You’ll collaborate with a global crew of experts across materials, manufacturing, and whole-engine systems balancing performance, durability, and cost to bring next-gen tech to life. If you love solving tough problems, making smart calls, and seeing your work go from idea to engine, this is your playground.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Own design and integrity of critical rotor & compressor components using 1D, 2D, and 3D analysis to push performance and extend life
  • Level up the toolkit: build smarter structural design methods and bring new analytical approaches to life
  • Turn data into direction: analyze test results, field measurements, and fleet feedback to drive real improvements
  • Jump in when it matters: deliver fast, focused solutions to manufacturing challenges and customer needs
  • Lead through complexity: guide teams through high-stakes technical challenges and bold engineering decisions
  • Drive innovation: own R&D efforts, partner with external experts, and manage outsourced projects to get cutting-edge ideas across the finish line

What You Bring

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • 8-10+ years design, structural analysis, mechanical integrity assessments, risk analysis and fracture mechanics. More years of experience may be considered at a higher level.
  • Rotating components in turbo‑machinery or similar, with strong expertise in mechanical integrity
  • Computational methods, including FEA using NX Simcenter, ANSYS, or similar
  • Programming experience (e.g., Python) to automate workflows and process data
  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills able to work across diverse teams and cultures, a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and innovative mindset, and a strong sense of ownership and commitment.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
