A Snapshot of Your Day

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of mechanical control systems and components. This role requires a hands-on individual with a strong background in mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a shop environment and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The engineer will work under the supervision of a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Along the line, this role will also be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for mechanical equipment and processes within Siemens Energy. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, control systems, and a passion for innovation and sustainability.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Design and develop control systems for mechanical equipment and processes, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  •  Assemble mechanical control systems and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  •  Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including control system specifications, schematics, and user manuals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems, providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on mechanical components and systems to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to integrate control systems into overall project designs.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1- 3 years of experience in a mechanical shop environment, with a focus on assembly, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems. Fresh graduates will also be considered.
  • Good level of knowledge on hydraulics and hands on experience on hydraulic devices such as trip blocks and actuators.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Hands-on experience in assembling different types of hydraulic systems in a shop.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
