A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Materials Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in defining and optimizing manufacturing processes in our additive manufacturing business. Your day will involve collaborating with technical and engineering teams to develop production methods, tooling, and fixtures, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. You will contribute to problem-solving initiatives, support continuous improvement efforts, and work closely with operational teams to streamline manufacturing workflows.


HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

-  Follow defined techniques, SOPs, work instructions, and processes to maintain high-quality standards.

-  Collaborate with engineering and technical teams on new product development and manufacturing processes.

-  Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations.

-  Analyze customer requirements for new projects and ensure clear internal communication.

-  Develop part-specific manufacturing instructions and programs for processes such as:

-  CNC Milling, CNC Turning, wire EDM, laser part marking, and dot peening.

-  Design and implement tooling and fixtures to support various manufacturing processes, including:

-  CNC Mill/Turning, de-powdering, airflow, and inspection.

-  Train the operational workforce to ensure compliance with released programs and techniques.

-  Coordinate with subcontractors for fixture creation.

-  Support the development of technical documentation and validation reports.

-  Maintain and update internal structures to align with company procedures.

-  Support Material Review Board (MRB) resolutions and process improvement actions.

-  Lead 3C (Concern, Cause, Countermeasure) activities to improve manufacturing processes.

-  Drive continuous improvement initiatives in EDM, support removal, blasting, and part marking.


WHAT YOU BRING

REQUIRED:

-  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

-  Experience in high-volume production manufacturing and process flow-down requirements.

-  Ability to interpret and apply customer specifications.

-  Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical issues in a cross-functional team.

-  Methodical and self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

-  Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

-  Effective verbal and written communication skills.

-  Fluent in English.
