A Snapshot of Your Day
As our Internal Communications Manager, you will shape the way our colleagues connect with our mission, our culture, and our performance. Every day you’ll translate strategic priorities into clear, engaging messages that help our teams understand where we are heading and how they contribute. You’ll work with leaders across the factory, ensuring communications are timely, relevant, compelling, and aligned to our operational objectives.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and deliver the annual internal communications strategy aligned with the plant’s strategic and operational goals.
- Partner closely with the Plant Director and Head of Operational Excellence to support key initiatives and leadership communications.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small internal communications team, fostering a collaborative, customer-focused and continuous-improvement mindset.
- Oversee workload planning to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality communications outputs.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and objective-setting to build capability and drive results.
- Create communication approaches that strengthen understanding of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People priorities.
- Identify communication needs across all departments and proactively deliver tailored solutions.
- Produce compelling content for all internal channels including digital content, leadership cascades, update presentations, and town halls.
- Assess channel effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Deliver campaigns that support culture, recognition, wellbeing, values and inclusion.
- Manage the communications budget, identifying efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyse employee feedback and engagement data to continuously enhance communication impact.
- Plan and deliver employee events, engagement days, milestone celebrations and large-scale briefings.
- Coordinate with global functions and third parties to support site visits and related communications.
What You Bring
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience leading and line-managing a small team, with the ability to coach and develop others.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience designing and delivering multi-channel communication strategies.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office, including advanced PowerPoint skills.
- Experience planning, building and delivering events.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or renewable energy environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale change initiatives.
- Experience working in technical or safety-critical settings.
