A Snapshot of Your Day

The Integrated Project Team Leader has assembled a multi-disciplinary and skilled design team and work towards introducing creative, robust, reliable, cost-effective design solutions to meet customer needs. The environment is dynamic, fast paced, exciting, and motivating.

This role is entrusted with reliable planning to ensure your teams are focused and that you deliver your objectives on time and on budget. Lead the team to a stage where a design concept needs to be verified against product requirements using structured verification and risk management processes, while adhering to well established project management practices.

You and your team are an integral part in achieving the company’s product strategies, namely providing innovative gas turbine product designs which are reliable and responding to the world’s constantly evolving energy demands.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Assist program managers in writing design briefs, then translate them into program plans with achievable milestones.
  • Control an engineering team and support resources using a visual management system to deliver work on schedule, cost and quality while handling conflicts as they arise.
  • Ensure process compliance of the work in the team and approve the work outputs.
  • Assist with technical problem solving within your design team. Support root cause analysis and corrective / preventative action activity related to the work of your team.
  • Support rig and engine test programs to verify and validate technical solutions.
  • Where needed you will seek out opportunities for improvement and lead activities to implement them into working practices within the engineering team.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree a plus! 5+ years’ industry experience, with strong background in a gas turbine design team subject area.
  • Motivated by the leadership of a multi-disciplinary team in creating engineering solutions.
  • This position closely collaborates in a French-speaking environment but requires fluency in English to comprehend documentation and technical terms from international sources, and to communicate with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
