A Snapshot of Your Day

As HV GIS Design Engineer, you will collaborate with a project team to develop and deliver the best technical solution according to the requirements of our customers around the world.

This includes the entire process, starting with clarifying fundamental questions, through to the final design of the technical solution, and ending with the handover to the end customer. You will promptly address any issues that arise and actively seek improvement opportunities.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • To prepare technical and requisition specifications, data sheets and inspection data sheets for primary HV equipment’s (circuit breakers, disconnector switches, CT&VT transformers, surge arrestors, GIS switchgear etc.)
  • To perform Technical Bid Evaluations for primary HV equipment and providing recommendations in the final selection of equipment.
  • Participation in negotiations with customers, specialist planners, and suppliers (customer specifications and technical standards as guidelines)
  • Support of internal teams with technical questions, especially with project management/order processing, sales, purchasing and PLM in the quotation as well as order processing process.
  • Preparation of technical elaborations for parts and solutions as a basis for quotations or order processing in the product business and support of construction sites in case of queries.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical/mechanical engineering and 5 yeas of experience working with/on HV Products or Substations (field service, project or product engineering).
  • Good knowledge about HV equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, disconnector switches, CT&VT transformers, surge arrestors, AIS/GIS switchgear etc.)
  • Knowledge of international standards for AC & DC systems above 1 kV (including IEC, IEEE, EN and VDE)
  • Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD tools (Autodesk products such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, CREO or Primtech).
  • Advanced English level
