Join our dynamic team as a High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) Service Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the environmentally safe performance of FACTS stations. Imagine executing technical field assignments that involve the service and repair of cutting-edge FACTS and HVDC systems, including Static Var Compensation (SVCs), Statcoms, and Synchronous condensers. You will have the opportunity to recommend corrective measures to enhance field service operations and customer satisfaction while collaborating on larger electrical substation and power plant projects. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will perform all aspects of maintenance and repair on FACTS/HVDC devices, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • You will conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, manage software updates, and oversee spare parts inventory for FACTS/HVDC stations.
  • You will assist in troubleshooting and repairing FACTS/HVDC equipment, leveraging your expertise to resolve issues and recommend improvements.
  • You will communicate professionally about safety, security, and environmental matters, including leading tailgate meetings and reporting incidents.
  • You will coordinate your travel and lodging arrangements, ensuring smooth logistics for field assignments.
  • You will complete time and expense reports and field service job reports using online tools, maintaining accurate records of your work.
  • You will uphold Siemens Environmental Health & Safety policies and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.
