A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

We are looking for an experienced Head of Region for Electrification, Automation, Digitalization Procurement Americas! In this role you will be developing, implementing and maintaining a market-leading performance position at competitive costs - for Procurement (Strategic- and Operational) - derived from the SE TI EAD business requirements – in order to generate an optimized contribution to business performance as well as ensuring compliance in procurement!

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Organizational, procedural, and process responsibility for the procurement organization in the regions of SE TI EAD, including implementation of efficient forms of organization and procedures to continuously detect areas for rationalization and increase profitability.
  • Manage and develop employees by ensuring knowledge transfer, development planning, and retention; build strong teams, distribute talent optimally, cultivate open-mindedness, seek feedback, challenge the status quo, and advocate for Siemens Energy values.
  • Ensure implementation and utilization of Siemens Energy Procurement standards, policies, guidelines, procedures, and tools to enable cooperation with the Global SE TI EAD procurement network, Business Area network, and other SE's procurement groups.
  • Shape the future by developing and implementing programs and strategies for long-term business success; advocate for security and integrity by applying the highest compliance standards and representing Siemens Energy’s interests with internal customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Implementation and development of Siemens Energy initiatives (sustainability, values, guidelines, risk management, internal controls); coordinate business programs, deploy regulations, and initiate improvement activities to achieve continuous development and SE TI EAD harmony realization.
  • Deploy Procurement Strategy and contribute to region/country strategy development (early involvement, E-Auction, supplier management, Global Value Sourcing initiatives); ensure efficient Strategic and Operational Procurement, process standardization, competencies, compliance, and transparent reporting/controlling of procurement activities in alignment with superior strategy levels.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering / Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree is advantageous.
  • 7+ years of experience in leadership roles in an international, multicultural environment, preferable within Industrial / engineer-to-order environment.
  • Proven track record in leading people, organizations, and complex projects; skilled in identifying development needs, coaching others, framing work and goals as growth opportunities, and reflecting on outcomes.
  • Proactive and impact driven with strong organizational, structured, and time management skills; adaptable to unplanned situations, effective in identifying key partners, building strong relationships, and applying strategies to optimize collaboration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Supplier Management processes (qualification, evaluation, development, early procurement involvement); proficient in English with additional languages a plus; high willingness for global travel (20–40%).
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
