A Snapshot of Your Day 

As Team Lead for the Data group, you will shape the data engineering for Siemens Energy’s finance organization. You will lead a team of engineers to develop the Community Data Pool (CDP), ensure adherence to governance standards, and champion data literacy. Your leadership will ensure that high-quality, FAIR data transforms finance operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Finance Data Leadership: Lead the data engineering and governance activity for digital finance, including oversight of the finance-specific data domain
  • Community Data Pool Ownership: Build and operate the CDP as the central data products service for finance-relevant data, delivering data products to other engineering teams
  • Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with both technical and business colleagues to ensure seamless data availability for solution development
  • Governance & Stewardship: Apply the enterprise data governance framework, ensuring compliance and quality across all finance data products
  • Data Literacy & Enablement: Promote data literacy and steward engagement across the finance community, supporting a culture of data-driven excellence
What You Bring
  • Deep expertise in data strategy, engineering and governance within an enterprise environment
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional data initiatives and manage complex data landscapes
  • Experience in building scalable data platforms and pipelines, managing and coaching a data engineering team
  • Strong leadership in developing talent and fostering a data-first mindset
  • Ample experience with cloud platforms, architectures and methodologies (Snowflake, AWS, data mesh, at a minimum)
