A Snapshot of Your Day

This position is a key management function within the Compression organization responsible for driving sales and strategic growth for the Reciprocating Compressor LMU business (Modifications & Upgrades, Long-Term-Programs, Brownfield electrification).

You will lead bid management teams located in North America (US), Europe (UK, France) and Asia Pacific (India), and work in close partnership with all Regional Service Organizations (Sales, Bid Management, Field Service, Repairs) and relevant Functions (Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Project Management). You will collaborate directly with the global ASQ leadership team and other GSO groups. This position has a direct impact on the overall strategic & financial success of the Compressor Service business!

Success in this role is defined by achieving key business metrics (Order Entry, Gross Margin) and KPIs related to defined initiatives (Opportunity Funnel Development, Cost Competitiveness, Bundling, Trainings) while driving Bid Management excellence (timely, accurate, competitive Proposals). Leveraging our RC installed base and legacy portfolio (Painted Post, Le Havre, Naroda) will be key to achieving the targets.

This role will report directly to the Global Head of Advanced Service Quoting and preferred location will be Painted Post, NY / USA.

We are looking for a highly experienced, self-motivated, dynamic, customer-focused leader that looks at shaping the Compression service business for future generations!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Work closely with Regional Sales / Bid Management teams and Senior Leadership by providing (complex) competitive bids with a strong value proposition (technical solution, cost, lead time, etc.). Proposals might include bundling of hardware (Controls, RDS, etc.) field service, and repairs.
  • Support regional priorities and partner on specific growth initiatives (RC win-back, under-penetrated markets, outage planning)
  • Provide in-depth technical training to Regional Sales / Bid Management teams
  • Work closely with Marketing to create sales & marketing materials (presentations, brochures, flyers, etc.)
  • Maintain regular reports on business metrics, KPIs and initiatives
  • Focus on improvement programs to enhance processes, reduce costs and lead time, position our portfolio

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related field). Extensive experience in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Industrial Services Business specializing in Sales, Engineering, Strategy, & Business Development, with a proven track record of driving sales and implementing business development programs.
  • Strong industrial rotating equipment knowledge including compressors and control systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen and financial competence.
  • Strong communication, networking and collaboration skills; ability to inspire and motivate teams and effectively manage stakeholders across hierarchy levels, fluency in English.
  • Ability to travel (10-15%) domestically and internationally, as required.
  • Competent in working with PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce.com, & Tableau tools

This job may be based in New York. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.  Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://benefitsatenergy.com/thinking-of-joining.html.  The base salary range for this position if based in New York could be between $136,000 – $195,000 and the annual incentive target could be between 10-20% of base salary. 

 Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
