A Snapshot of Your Day

As a HSE manager for Ports and Harbour Services at Siemens Energy, you’ll be embedded within dynamic offshore wind environment, collaborating closely with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Your day will involve proactive planning, mentoring, and inspections to drive a Zero Harm culture at port and harbour services.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support and advise the Port and Harbour Services, transportation, EQ and warehouse team in defining and managing the implementation of the specific HSE Plan and other relevant plans.
  • Responsible for HSE Integrated Management System (IMS) and legal compliance in all HSE related matters within Port and Harbour Service, transportation and EQ and warehouse scope.
  • Work in partnership with any projects operating in the port, in defining an internal agreement which clearly defines the HSE management arrangements between the port, the project and the plant.
  • Communication and coordination with all internal departments and contractors on ensuring that all required HSE-related documentation is in place and approved
  • Lead and participate in incident investigation as required and monitor the implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Provide active guidance and mentoring for the team. Be a role model for HSE by providing competent HSE advice and promoting responsible attitudes towards HSE.
  • Positively influence attitudes of the workforce and contractors towards achieving HSE targets and developing a positive safety culture by adopting an open, honest and transparent partnership approach.
  • Identify and deliver the implementation of HSE objectives and campaigns to drive the Zero Harm Culture on Port and Transportation team.
  • Carry out relevant HSE meetings with contractors, port and harbour service, transportation, EQ and warehouse, and other relevant stakeholders to assess performance and receive/provide updates on areas of improvement.
  • Monitor the implementation and adherence to the relevant HSE documentation and IMS related procedures, by performing site inspections and contribute to internal and external audits and assessments, and HSE evaluations
  • Plan, conduct in HSE related inspections, assessments, audits, reviews.
  • Review incident statistics to identify and analyze trends to determine whether proactive improvement actions are required.
  • Intervene and escalate to Port and Harbour Services and Transportation team and if necessary to respective HSE organisation matters where applicable HSE-related procedures are not complied with.
  • Ensure significant issues concerning operational health, safety or the environment, and / or product safety are escalated to HSE management for global consideration

What You Bring

  • Relevant HSE experience essential (Minimum 2 years - preferably within Wind Power, however other high-risk transportation or offshore/marine environments considered) with demonstratable continuous professional development within an HSE related role.  
  • Demonstrable systematic approach to tasks/duties; with an ability to utilise organisational skills to create order in a fast-changing working environment and with the ability to maintain focus on the essentials, prioritise and keep a track of things. 
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills.  
  • Ability to communicate written and verbally in English is mandatory. 
  • Experience of measuring performance against set key performance indicators 
  • Experience of audits, assessments and inspections 
  • Experience of leading or supporting incident investigations at all levels
