A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking an Account Manager to manage and grow assigned industrial accounts for Grid Technologies across North America. Successful candidate would be based in Houston and cover other cities such as Dallas and Austin. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, targeting strategic portfolios, and customer satisfaction within core industrial segments such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, refining, metals & mining, and other energy-intensive industries. The Account Manager works closely with business leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver value-added solutions and ensure Siemens Energy is the preferred partner for electrification, grid resiliency, and industrial energy transition needs.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Achieving Sales Targets: Meet or exceed revenue and new business targets for assigned accounts. Identify and close new business opportunities by providing consultative support and tailored value propositions for Grid Technologies’ products, services, and solutions.
  • Account Management & Market Insight: Maintain a deep understanding of the Grid Technologies portfolio, competitors, and market landscape. Track account history, buying behaviors, and commercial strategies to support account growth. Coordinate with internal teams to deliver accurate sales forecasts and cross-functional value.
  • Customer Strategy Execution: Develop, document, and execute account strategies. Identify customer pain points and align Siemens Energy’s offerings to address their needs. Ensure strategies are current and aligned with both customer and Siemens Energy stakeholders.
  • Sales Process Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers. Influence decision makers, lead contract negotiations, and ensure agreements are favorable for both the customer and Siemens Energy.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships across all levels of customer organizations. Engage early with potential partners and projects, and facilitate executive sponsor meetings between clients and Siemens Energy’s senior management.
  • Ownership & Safety Culture: Promote a safety culture within client organizations. Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and a commitment to professional development and organizational guidelines.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, or relevant field.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience (i.e. industrial sales or account management experience, preferably in energy, oil & gas, petrochemicals, or related sectors). Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow key accounts, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of industrial markets and the Siemens Energy Grid Technologies portfolio.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation), with experience engaging executive-level stakeholders.

Travel, as needed (~50% domestically, with occasional international travel).

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
