A Snapshot of Your Day:

As a Generator Winder Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic ramp-up of new generator fleet developments while ensuring the reliability of our existing aging fleet in Saudi Arabia. You will engage in meaningful projects focused on high-quality stator winding, conducting rigorous inspections, and executing repairs that directly enhance service operations and fleet performance. Expect to collaborate within a dynamic team culture that values technical expertise, safety, and a commitment to Siemens Energy’s mission of delivering sustainable energy solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
  • Perform complete rewinding of generator stators, including coil removal, manufacturing, and installation.
  • Execute high-quality brazing, taping, and blocking of winding components per engineering specifications.
  • Assemble and disassemble large generator components for maintenance and repair activities.
  • Conduct comprehensive electrical tests on windings, including insulation resistance and high potential (Hi-Pot) tests.
  • Inspect generator components for wear, damage, or defects, particularly on stator cores and windings.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repair, and testing activities while adhering to EHS protocols.

What You Bring:
  • Technical diploma or vocational degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Generator Winder or in a similar heavy electromechanical repair role.
  • Demonstrated experience with the winding and repair of large-scale power generators, including stators and rotors.
  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in preventive maintenance and quality control practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
