As a Generator Field Services Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will thrive in a dynamic environment that values innovation and collaboration. This role targets self-starters who enjoy traveling and tackling challenging mechanical issues while working on meaningful projects that directly impact our clients and partners. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of generator systems, contributing to Siemens Energy’s mission of delivering sustainable energy solutions while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Conduct electrical and mechanical specialty testing (low and high voltage) as required.
- Perform visual inspections and collaborate with engineering to provide repair recommendations.
- Prepare and forward accurate reports on equipment condition, repairs, and recommendations.
- Ensure all work adheres to approved processes and procedures, maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Supervise technicians during power plant maintenance shutdowns, both planned and unplanned.
- Serve as the primary customer contact during outages, ensuring timely and accurate repairs.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in field engineering or generator services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction.
- Willingness to travel and work in various field environments.
- Commitment to safety and quality in all engineering practices.
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
