A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Field Service Technician for Electrical/I&C(Fixed Term) at Siemens Energy, your day will be dynamic and hands-on. You will be responsible for maintaining turbine instrumentation, including thermocouples, RTDs, pressure sensors, vibration sensors, and rotary encoders. Your tasks will involve generator testing, voltage regulator, protection and SFC installation, loop checks, and cold/hot commissioning. You will document your work meticulously and may lead subcontracted or customer technicians in implementing work activities at the site. Your role will also include supporting site administration and coordinating with customers, engineering, project management, and suppliers.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Take on maintenance tasks about turbine instrumentation having familiarity thermocouples, RTD’s, pressure sensors, vibration sensors, rotary encoders, etc.
• Generator testing, Voltage regulator, Protection and SFC installation, loop check, cold/hot commissioning will be considered in the scope of maintenance.
• Remove and reassembly associated sensors, cabling, conduit, enclosures and fit associated with their installation in equipment that operates at high temperature
• Document work performed including report of work done and datasheets
• Coordinate work and lead subcontracted or customer technicians at site based on outage scope.
• Work hands on in a team of Siemens Energy Field service personnel even though specific I&C troubleshooting tasks may require individual dispatch

What You Bring

• Relevant certifications such as Professional Engineer , Master Craftsman, Engineer, or Industrial Engineer in fields like Electrical, Power Distribution, Railway Signals, Nuclear Power, and Renewable Energy.
• Basic knowledge of written and spoken English to understand technical documentation and report work done at the site.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for preparation and survey activities related to upcoming outages or to our Tool Facility for specific tasks associated with the preparation of outage tooling.
• Open to additional work, including weekends, holidays, or night shifts.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in electrical/I&C at a power plant site.
• Related technical degree from a university or college.
