A Snapshot of Your Day

Start your day liaising with the Manager of Field Service, completing time sheets and Site Reports, and following internal procedures. Cooperate with the Customer and sub-contractors, promoting equipment upgrades, and perform assignments in various conditions, adhering to management systems. Prepare work scopes, supervise turbine maintenance, attend inspections, and support sales and planning, while resolving issues and minimizing delays.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Maintain close liaison with the Manager of Field Service, complete weekly time sheets and Site Reports, and follow internal procedures.
  • Cooperate professionally with the Customer and sub-contractors, promoting equipment upgrades and modifications.
  • Perform assignments in adverse conditions and climates, working within the Customer’s management systems (HSE, Maintenance, Document and Data Management).
  • Prepare detailed scopes of work and schedules for planned and unplanned outages with Customer groups.
  • Specify, plan, implement, and supervise turbine maintenance activities, and respond to trips and unscheduled outages with appropriate technical responses.
  • Attend offshore inspections, servicing, and shutdowns, and communicate with Siemens Energy Regional Hub, Global Support network, and technical support staff to resolve problems.
  • Use standard SE IT portals, interpret relevant technical documentation, and support sales and planning departments in preparing time schedules, parts lists, and resource requirements.
  • Participate in customer meetings, provide technical support during sales efforts, identify potential delays, minimize their impact, and support claim management.

What You Bring

  • You have profound know-how and extensive work experience with all service disciplines of the Siemens Energy AGT product line. Additional working knowledge of Siemens products in any service disciplines and other product lines e.g., SGT-100 to 800 packages will have added advantage.
  • You are capable of conducting and/or supervising general servicing, overhaul, and troubleshooting of this equipment with minimum guidance, and capable of interfacing directly with Technical Support to resolve problems.
  • maintain a positive attitude around the Customer/Site at all times.
  • be willing and able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing in English language and other languages will be of added value.
  • Diploma in Engineering or other comparable subjects would be beneficial.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Field service, Technical support or Project Engineer position, preferably Mechanical engineering and demonstrated ability in leading others within a project or team environment.
