A Snapshot of Your Day

  • Performing power system studies like load flow, short circuit, transient stability and switching transients for utility / industrial systems. Modeling of power system equipment and using simulation tools such as RTDS, PSS/E to RSCAD, RSCAD. Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking ownership for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business. Establishing the test set up in the factory

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Configuration of hardware used for control systems
  • Performing tests of the hardware and software in the factory to implement the design
  • Read, analyze and interpret power system event records

Apart from these daily tasks, the incumbent shall also be encouraged to perform the following functions:

  • Innovate and work out new techniques and solutions
  • Active collaboration with Siemens Energy, Germany and other countries
  • Impart training to external parties like clients
  • Be willing to take over roles of other team members if the situation demands

What You Bring

B.E. or equivalent experience Electrical or M.E Electrical with 4-5 Years

  • Knowledge of RTDS hardware in loop test, Knowledge of RSCAD, Computer operating systems, Programming tools (e. g. Python)
  • Having a previous experience of working on FACTS projects would be an added advantage. If you have experience creating real time simulation for FACTS devices on RTDS, it would be very helpful in your work.

Other requirements:

  • Excellent teammate
  • Ability to work with team members who may come from a diverse group of backgrounds, including different nationalities.
