A Snapshot of Your Day
Responsible for the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of instrument/electrical systems. Focus is on mathematical modelling of systems of a diverse nature, analyzing their dynamic behavior, and using control theory to create a controller that will cause the systems to behave in a desired manner. May specialize in the design, configuration, and automation of systems.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Responsible for the control systems’ technical scope for rotating equipment packages.
- Incorporates Siemens Energy design standards and guidelines and adapts the assigned scope to meet project-specific requirements due to Customer Specifications and Regional / Statutory Requirements for the Installation location.
- Represents the assigned systems in HAZOP and SIL studies.
- Responsible for timely delivery of package design documents to partners and within budget.
- Provides occasional support to the Front-End Engineering network, by reviewing and providing comments and exceptions to client specifications, identifying deviations from standards, and estimating commercial impacts if compliance is required.
- Provide technical support to internal and external packagers.
What You Bring
- Technical degree required and control system or rotating equipment experience.
- Familiarity with control system philosophies and detailed control system design and experience with design of gas turbine generator trains, gas turbine compression trains, or electric motor compression trains (preferred).
- Experience with Engineering/PLM software (such as Teamcenter, E3, COMOS, and/or Jira), Control Systems Programming software (such as PCS7 and Allen-Bradley control systems), and experience with SAP (preferred).
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (domestic or international).
