A Snapshot of Your Day
As Director of Engineering Centers at Siemens Energy, your day will be dynamic and challenging. You will ensure operational excellence in international projects for clients from energy market, develop relationships with key customers and support managers in achieving their goals.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on a day-to-day basis with partners from the global organization (e.g. Heads of Business and Functions ) , as well as shape and implement the strategy for development and expansion of teams, in cooperation with Management Siemens Energy Poland, while managing Leaders responsible for individual HUBs in the Polish organization and working with the HR Director as the Employer's representative for social partners i.e. trade unions.
You will be working in a very collaborative environment where every team member's contribution is valued.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Planning and implementing growth strategies based on company’s objectives in close cooperation with Management Board.
- Developing relationships with key customers in a global organization and setting goals for teams.
- Leading Managers of engineering and service teams from various specialties (~100 FTE) and supporting them in achieving business tasks and goals (incl. planning, recruitment, succession, development of employees, etc.).
- Managing efficiency, work quality and costs, continuous improvement, risk management.
- Collaborate with all departments in the local organization, especially in the Engineering Centers and Headquarters on compensation, succession, budgeting, health and safety, finance, accounting, marketing, legal and other aspects.
- Collaborating with customers, prospects and vendors. Developing talents in teams and creating a diverse and inclusive work environment .
- Pursuing operational excellence using modern methods and techniques, and being proactive on this topic.
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory rules in the daily operation of engineering centers.
What You Bring
- A minimum 5 years experience in a leadership position connected with leading other managers and strategy development and implementation
- Excellent mature leadership and social skills, the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team and deal with challenges in leading people.
- Excellent understanding of the energy market.
- Ability to provide quality service and effectively lead a team through responsible decision-making.
- Developed strategic thinking and strong goal orientation.
- Experience in working with various partners at all levels of the organizational structure and ability to deal with potential challenges in partnerships.
- Proficiency in Polish and English at the C1 level.
- Proven track record in process optimization and operational efficiency improvement.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally if necessary
- Very good knowledge of labor law and working time regulations will be a great asset.
About the Team
As an Engineering Center, we are engaged in preparing and providing qualified employees (engineers and technicians of various specialties, including mechanics, automation engineers, electricians, construction engineers, etc.) for power plant construction projects, compressor service projects, steam and gas turbine projects for Siemens Energy's clients around the world and seconding them to foreign and domestic projects. Our Engineering Centers are located in several cities in Poland: Elblag, Wroclaw and Zgorzelec.
