A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our Siemens Energy Gas Turbine plant as a Production Supervisor, where you will manage the Engine Assembly manufacturing area and ensure the success of our operations. You will leverage operational measurements and metrics to oversee the production process, ensuring that products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality. Your role will involve leading a diverse team, driving process improvements through initiatives like Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing. With minimal direction, you will supervise production employees, manage scheduling assignments, monitor fulfillment of customer requirements, and act as the primary contact for production-related issues. Your ability to motivate and unify your team will be key to achieving our business goals.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will ensure that all manufacturing personnel follow safe work practices, taking corrective action when necessary to maintain compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Study daily operating results and collaborate with supervisors to resolve production problems, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly.
  • Distribute staff effectively and assist in training new or transferred employees, coordinating temporary staffing needs as required.
  • Authorize and evaluate overtime requirements for production employees, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Monitor customer production requirements and adjust schedules as needed, while maintaining accurate documentation of employee attendance records.
  • Evaluate production reports and metrics, making informed decisions that align with short and long-term goals, while promoting continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

  • You have 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in assembly and welding fabrication, with additional experience in scheduling or production control being a plus.
  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • You are available for weekend shift support as necessary and have experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or 5S methodologies.
  • Your working knowledge of MRP and Quality Control systems will be invaluable in this role.
  • You possess excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, and have experience in conflict resolution within an hourly workforce.
