In the Field Service Commissioning and control’s role, the individual is responsible for commissioning and servicing Siemens Energy, Dresser, and non-OEM compressors and auxiliary equipment globally. Acting as a vital intermediary, the Commissioning engineer liaises between customers and our company, collaborating with management, sales, and technical support to ensure service integrity, while focusing on turbo compressors and being accountable for all commissioning and controls activities during equipment installation and overhaul during service outages ensuring adherence to OEM specifications and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commissioning of compressors, control systems, and auxiliary equipment, ensuring full compliance with OEM specifications, quality standards, and accurate installation through P&ID, electrical, and controls documentation interpretation.
  • Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize control systems to ensure efficient, reliable operation and timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Conduct detailed troubleshooting and root-cause analyses, delivering clear, client-focused technical reports that document findings, corrective actions, and improvement recommendations.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all company and customer EHS policies, promoting a strong Zero-Harm culture and safe work practices.
  • Perform duties under challenging conditions—including heat, cold, noise, night shifts, weekends, and holidays—while maintaining high performance and safety standards.
  • Engage professionally with clients to ensure satisfaction, protect company interests, and identify opportunities for additional funding or service needs.


What You Bring

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent experience) with extensive hands-on commissioning experience in turbo compressor packages, auxiliary equipment, and related industrial systems.
  • Broad commissioning expertise across MCCs, electrical motors, heaters, fans, frequency converters, control cubicles, loop checks, instrument calibration, surge mapping, troubleshooting, startup procedures, and L/O flushing.
  • Proficient in commissioning and managing control systems including Siemens S7/PCS7/T3000, Allen Bradley, and ABB, with familiarity in Siemens Energy and Dresser Rand compressors and adaptability to other OEMs.
  • Strong process and logic understanding of compressor operations, supported by analytical skills to perform root-cause analyses and deliver detailed technical documentation, reports, schedules, and improvement recommendations.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, professionalism, and basic commercial awareness, identifying funding opportunities while working primarily at customer sites domestically and internationally.
  • Maintains strict EHS compliance and a Zero-Harm mindset, meeting physical requirements such as ladder climbing, machinery-area work, offshore eligibility, and the ability to operate safely in demanding environments.
